Importance of our directories<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>

El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras are the three countries that make up the Northern Triangle of Central America, named for their economic integration and intraregional trade flow. A group of countries that represent 32.8 million inhabitants of the region, 49% of the Latin American population in the region and whose economies total USD $139.47 million in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) annually.<\/p>

The essence of the United States Chambers of Commerce in the world is to strengthen trade ties and foster business relationships for bilateral benefit. Under this objective, AmChams work to ensure that the conditions for foreign investment and business growth are favorable.<\/p>

Aligned with the AmCham overview, one of the strategies that the Northern Triangle of Central America has implemented is the annual update of the Business Directory. A contact guide that brings together information from more than a thousand partner companies in the region that represent the different economic sectors.<\/p>

Carmen A\u00edda Mu\u00f1oz has been the Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce of El Salvador (AMCHAM) since 2008. She holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and Finance and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from prestigious academic institutions in El Salvador.\n\nAs a professional, she has held various management positions in private and public institutions, standing out for her excellent work in areas such as investment attraction and intellectual property. One of her strengths is her ability to foster relationships between companies and other sectors to create a favorable business climate for job creation, maintaining current investments, and attracting new ones.\n\nDue to her leadership and outstanding career, she has been invited by FUSADES (Salvadoran Foundation for Economic and Social Development) to continue as a member of the Board of Directors for the 2017-2019 term. She was also appointed Director of the Conciliation, Mediation, and Arbitration Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of El Salvador in 2012.\n\nOne of her challenges for 2017 continues to be her impact on the creation of policies, laws, and conditions to strengthen legal security, free enterprise, and make El Salvador a competitive country, attractive to foreign and domestic investors, thereby generating more and new jobs within a framework of dynamizing the country's economic and social development.<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

The vision of a Central America increasingly integrated into a region of free trade, shared progress and prosperity, and open borders is further strengthened with the establishment of the customs union between Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador, which will position us, according to estimates, as the eighth-largest economy in Latin America.\n\nFree trade is a transformative factor in countries advancing toward development and seeking a better quality of life for their inhabitants; that is why the leadership of the AMCHAMs is so important for our region to continue working to streamline and facilitate trade and achieve customs and socioeconomic integration.\n\nThe essence of AMCHAM is to strengthen and foster mutually beneficial trade relations between our countries and the United States of America, fostering favorable conditions for investment and trade. A key sign of regional integration begins at home, as is proud to present this digital business directory of the AMCHAMs.\n\nFor Amcham Honduras, on behalf of its President and Board of Directors, and in my capacity as Executive Director, it is a great pleasure to be part of this directory, which contains information that will help transcend borders by generating business and trade opportunities between our members and entrepreneurs around the world.\n\nI conclude with the three ever-present words from the Central American national anthem: God, Union, Liberty.<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
