With the change in the platform for scheduling visa appointments at the U.S. Embassy, AmCham informs its members of the following steps to begin the visa application process:

  1. 1. Required Documentation:
    • Passport biographic (front) page.
    • Completed DS-160 form.
    • Letter from the company supporting the travel.
  1. 2. Process with AmCham:
    • AmCham will create the applicant's profile for the B1/B2 visa.
    • AmCham will provide the payment slip for the cash deposit, which is personal and non-transferable.

It is important to note that if the applicant has already created their profile and made the payment independently, they will not be able to request the appointment through AmCham due to changes in the Embassy's system.

The appointment process requires the applicant to be physically present at the Embassy with all the documentation indicated by AmCham.

Make sure to comply with the new visa appointment requirements. Please consult AmCham Guatemala.

Note: The appointment scheduled by AmCham does not guarantee the issuance of the visa, as the decision is exclusively made by the U.S. Embassy and the Consular Officer conducting the interview. La cita gestionada por AmCham no garantiza la obtención de la visa, ya que esta decisión es exclusiva de la Embajada Americana y del Oficial Consular que realice la entrevista.
